Thank you for your interest in our school.  South Charnwood currently admits pupils of all abilities from 11—15 years of age (Years 7, 8, 9 and 10) and from September 2015 we will also welcome Year 11, making us an 11-16 school.  It is a popular school with just over 600 pupils on roll at present.  The school is situated in twenty acres of open countryside and serves the nearby villages of Markfield, Thornton and Stanton-under-Bardon, as well as Leicester Forest East. South Charnwood could justifiably be called a ‘family’ school since it has educated several generations of many local families. Read more...
