Build Your Business, Build Our Future

South Charnwood United Business Alliance (SCUBA) aims to strengthen relationships between businesses in our local community, as well as providing the opportunity to build links with our school.

As a school, we are aware that we are educating the ‘workforce of the future’ and want to work together with local businesses to ensure our young people have the right skills and attributes for the world of work. In partnership, businesses can help our pupils with their post 16 career pathways by supporting events such as careers speed networking and  ‘Meet the Employer’ activities

Our SCUBA meetings provide an opportunity for local businesses to network with each other. It has been fascinating to witness new business relationships beginning to flourish as a result of our SCUBA meetings

All local businesses, big or small, are most welcome to join our SCUBA network which is organised by our Year 10 and 11 business ambassadors to help ‘build your business; build our future’. 

SCUBA Meetings

We hold our termly SCUBA meetings 3 times a year in March, June & November. These are more structured events with an agenda, a keynote speaker, a presentation from the Yr10 Business Ambassadors, as well as topics for discussion around the table.  These have been running for over 6 years and are well attended each term
