Duke of Edinburgh Expedition 2024
On Friday 7th June , 52 Year 10 pupils set out on their expedition part of the Duke of Edinburgh award. They planned and set out their route using map skills they had developed over the last few months. Setting off from Beaumanor Hall on Friday they started an 11 mile journey on foot making their way back to Beaumanor Hall where they set up tents and cooked their own food before a good night's sleep.
Saturday they packed tents away on a wet morning before setting off for day 2 of the expedition on completely different routes. All students safely completed all routes and should be extremely proud of their efforts over the course of the weekend.
