Francesca, Year 10 Swimming Champ
Between 15th – 20th April Aquatics GB held their swimming championships at the London Aquatic Centre. There were selectors present at the event to select swimmers for the World Swimming Championships in Singapore later this year. Francesca qualified for these championships in two events - 200 Butterfly and 400 Individual Medley. Her 200 fly swim was just off her PB and she knocked 4 seconds off her 400IM time.
Francesca trains hard for her achievements with an impressive 18 hours a week in the water and 3 hours of gym work. This has clearly paid off as this is a huge achievement and a great experience for her to qualify in the same championships as Olympians.
