Girls Football

Our KS4 Girls Football Team were in national cup action against Thomas Alleyne’s High School. It was a fiercely competitive game, with the opening goal coming from Ruby, after a superb cross from Ella.

Midway through the first half the rain began to pour making it difficult for the girls to play their usual flowing football. Thomas Alleyne managed to equalise from a corner towards the end of the half, but our team responded brilliantly. In the final five minutes before the break, Ella restored our lead with a well-taken goal directly from a corner.

In the second half, the girls took full control of the game, showcasing some outstanding football and creating numerous chances. Ruby added her second of the match, with further goals from Chido and Megan sealing an impressive victory.

Final score: 5–2. A fantastic all round performance from the girls, who now progress to Round 4 of the competition!
