Jack's Hockey Success
Jack H in year 8 plays for Ashby Hockey Club. His U14 team have just qualified for the U14 boys tier 2 plate final.
To reach the semi-final they beat Charnwood Forest 6-0, Hampton in Arden 8-0 and Sandbach 4-3. In the semi-final they came up against Norwich and conceded a goal in the first few minutes, they fought back to level the score and the game went back and forth going into half time 3-3. After a good team talk they came out and scored twice to bring the score to 5-3. Norwich scored from a short corner but Ashby were able to hold on for the last 8 minutes to get the victory.
They now go on to the finals in Nottingham on the 12th of April. Fingers crossed for another success story to follow!
