Netball
KS3
Recently the year 8's represented the school away at Brookvale. Although we didn't win, it was a pleasure to see the developme
nt of their resilience, teamwork and enthusiasm for Netball.
Year 7 and 9 also had an away fixture to Brookvale last week. Although we didn't win. All pupils showed great sportsmanship and learned a lot from the experience. They all still have an enthusiasm for Netball and represent South Charnwood’s ethos!
KS4

On Thursday 16th October the Year 11 Netball team attended the play off finals at The Market Bosworth High School.
Missing our team captain Lith, while she was away representing the England Cricket team, we recruited Emily who stepped in at the last minute to ensure we had enough players to attend. Thanks Emily!
Three schools attended the fixture. TMBS, St Martins High, and us. The winning team would represent the area in the next round of competition.
Unfortunately, we were up against some tough competition and it wasn't meant to be. The girls all played brilliantly against a very well drilled St Martins High School. Ava and Edie were awarded opposition players of the game for their effort and enthusiasm.
It has been a pleasure coaching these girls from year 7 and it's unfortunate their last game for SCHS wasn't quite the result we were hoping for. Well done all of you. Mrs Vickers.
