Year 8 Author Visit

We were delighted to welcome acclaimed author, Darren Simpson on Friday 16th May. Darren gave a fascinating talk to the whole of Year 8 about his first book, Scavengers. We learned where his inspiration came from and how he develops initial ideas and characters for all of his books. Pupils joined in the fun with a game and a question and answer session at the end. The talk was followed by a Writing Workshop for 30 pupils, after which Darren signed books and chatted to pupils at lunchtime in the Library.
