A Fresh Flavour at SCHS: Meet Our New Catering Manager
We are very excited to introduce our new catering manager.
“My name is Victoria Prendergast and I am the new Catering Manager at South Charnwood High School. I have worked in 2 schools previously, firstly as a catering assistant and then as the unit manager.
Before working in schools I was the very proud owner of a cafe in East Leake that my husband and I ran for 10 years. When we took on the cafe it was very run down, and poorly used by the village. With hard work and determination, we transformed it into a thriving hub of the community. We would regularly transform the cafe into an Italian bistro of an evening serving authenticate homemade Italian food.
Food is a huge passion of mine along with making sure it is inclusive to all dietary needs. I love to take a recipe and adapt it to gluten free, vegetarian or vegan. I also love to plan theme days, which is something I shall be introducing in school when we return after the summer break. I am really looking forward to catering for everyone at South Charnwood High School”
