Billy H & the Great Tommy Sleep Out
Well done to Billy H in year 7 who completed the Great Tommy Sleep Out for the 3rd year running.
Billy gave up his warm cosy bed to sleep outside on a roll matt with a sleeping bag to raise awareness and money for the Royal British Legion Industries to help over 6000 veterans who are experiencing homelessness in the UK right now.
He completed this on Saturday 7th March, which was a very wet and cold night. Despite getting drenched from the rain and the wet ground, Billy persisted and made it all night from 5:00pm until 7:30am.
Along with his younger brother and mum, Billy was joined by his great uncle who served in the Coldstream Guards and fought in the Falkland's war.
So far, Billy has raised a whopping £397 against his target of £150! It has certainly made Billy appreciate how lucky we all are to have a roof over our heads and a warm bed at home.
Well done Billy!
