Mollie's Hockey Passion
Mollie C in year 8 recently attended her hockey club, Leicester Westleigh, senior players’ annual awards and dinner night.
Mollie started this season with an invite to play for Leicester Westleigh's ladies 2 development team. The ladies 2 team has the tag 'development' as there are 2 players under the age of 13, Mollie being 1 of them. During this season playing for the ladies 2 team she was also playing for the U14s team. She became the second highest goal scorer of the season scoring 8 goals, gained an incredible amount of knowledge and confidence and even received her first green card by the president of the club who umpired a game (oops!). Along with some of her U14s friends, notably Sofia B (year 9), they would have achieved 10th place in the league albeit as it is a development team all games are recorded as 0-0.
During the annual awards dinner, she received a wonderful award for being the female young player of the season across the ladies’ teams. Quite an achievement with wonderful words spoken about Mollie and what she has achieved this season.
Well done Mollie. Your love and passion for hockey is admirable.
