We are delighted to finally reveal that one of our pupils, Megan Havers, has successfully gained a place in the GB Archery team at this summer's Olympics in Paris. This is an incredible achievement and we are so proud of her.

Megan has been juggling her GCSE studies and examinations alongside training and competitions. In April, Megan came third in the GB selection process to earn a place in the Olympic team but they still had to qualify. In the last two months, Megan and her older team mates have competed in Turkey, Germany, Croatia and South Korea as they slowly got enough points to qualify. This was finally achieved when they won a bronze medal at an event in Turkey two weeks ago.

Tom Duggan, Performance Director at Archery GB, said: “Megan had a good domestic season last year and shot her way onto the team through the selection process, showing so much personality and composure.”

We cannot wait to see Megan in action and wish her every success in both the Olympics and her GCSE results.
