YEAR 7 BOYS FOOTBALL

Through to the Next Round of the CVL Competition!

What a fantastic evening for our Year 7 boys, who secured three wins from three games to progress to the next round of the CVL competition!

This was the boys first taste of competitive football together, and they certainly rose to the challenge.

South Charnwood 2–0 Winstanley

Our opening game was a tough test against Winstanley. Battling against the wind, the boys showed great determination to reach half-time at 0–0. A much-improved second-half performance saw goals from Jotham and Billy seal an excellent 2–0 victory.

South Charnwood 2–0 Bosworth Academy

The boys started brightly and created five excellent chances in the first half, but unfortunately couldn’t find the breakthrough. Their patience and persistence paid off after the break, as Tommy and Max found the net to secure another well-deserved 2–0 win.

South Charnwood 1–0 Brookvale

With Brookvale having won their previous two games, the boys knew a victory was essential to progress. We dominated much of the first half and created some promising opportunities, but the game remained finely balanced. Everyone knew how important the first goal would be, and up stepped Rapolas who powered home a fantastic leaping header from a corner to put South Charnwood ahead. The boys held on brilliantly to secure the win and complete a perfect evening!

The boys were an absolute credit to South Charnwood, they should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved in their first competitive outing.
